AB Emergency Billing app for iPhone and iPad

ABemerg is an iPhone app that was developed specifically for emergency physicians in Alberta. It provides rapid access to the billing codes that are often used. Please do not buy and download the app from the iTunes app store unless you bill Alberta Health as it will not be useful and it is password restricted.

The username & password is available by contacting another emergency physician in the Calgary region, particularly anyone within the RMES group or at the Foothills Medical Centre, Peter Lougheed Centre, Rockyview Hospital, or the South Health Campus. For emergency physicians in Alberta there is no charge for the username & password.

The main menu of billing codes is divided into the categories to simplify browsing for the appropriate code. The categories are:

13.99H Fee Items can include a wide variety of diagnoses where "critical care of severely ill or injured patient in a hosptial ED requiring major treatment interventions". Some of the common diagnoses are identified for easy reference.
